Johns Creek’s 2019 summer concert lineup filled with cover bands

The city of Johns Creek's 2019 summer concert series runs from May 3 until Oct. 5.

If you can’t beat the summer heat, at least you can enjoy it. That’s the theory behind Johns Creek’s free 2019 summer concert series lineup.

The city in north Fulton County has announced that its series at Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater at Newtown Park, 3150 Old Alabama Road, begins May 3 with Chicago Rewired, a Chicago cover band.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the concerts begin at 7 p.m.

Food trucks will be around, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Friday, May 3 – Chicago Rewired, which covers the band Chicago

Friday, May 31 – Uptown Funk, which covers Bruno Mars

Saturday, Oct. 5 – Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra
