Gwinnett commissioners approved an agreement Dec. 15 with Sugar Hill for an intersection improvement project at State Route 13/Buford Highway at Westbrook Road. The total project is estimated to cost $120,000 with Sugar Hill contributing $60,000.
The county will manage the project and be responsible for all project costs in excess of the city’s contribution.
The improvements will include an additional approach lane on Westbrook Road, concrete work including ramps and curbing, asphalt overlay, intersection striping and traffic signal installation. Funding for the project comes from the 2009 SPLOST program.
