Fulton County has opened the public input period for spending next year's federal Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships and Emergency Shelter Grant funds. The county usually gets about $3 million per year, mainly intended to improve living conditions of low- and moderate-income people. The comment period is required by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Comments can be emailed to Lolita.Collins@fultoncountyga.gov, and a series of public meetings have been scheduled. One will be Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Alpharetta's Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA and another will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Alpharetta's Crabapple Neighborhood Center. The comment deadline is Sept. 14. Information: 404-613-7944.
