Infant pronounced dead in Gwinnett; police found child unresponsive

A 4-month-old infant was pronounced dead Saturday after police found the child unresponsive in Buford.

Gwinnett police officers responded about 5:49 a.m. to a location on Bogan Mill Road, according to a police email statement. The child was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center-Lawrenceville, where the infant was pronounced dead.

Foul play is not suspected at this time, police said. The Gwinnett police criminal investigation division and crime scene unit are handling the investigation.
