Improvements OK’d for Hog Mountain Road pump stations in Dacula

Gwinnett Commissioners approved $559,435 for surge protection at the Hog Mountain Road Sewage Pump Stations 1 and 2 at 3850 Hog Mountain Road in Dacula. This project consists of modifications to the Hog Mountain Road Sewage Pump Station and force main, including a new 1,000-gallon surge tank, nine new air relief valves and five new plug valves. These improvements are necessary to protect the sewage pump station and force main from damaging pressure surges and to prevent air entrainment in the force main.

Allsouth Constructors Inc. was the lowest of three bidders for the project.
