Ill woman missing since Friday found safe
A missing woman impaired by a brain tumor and diabetes was found safe Tuesday, Gwinnett County police said.
Stacey Janine Parker, who disappeared Friday, was located in good health and has been returned to her family, authorities said.
A Mattie’s Call was issued Sunday for Parker, 42, who was last seen around 2 p.m. Friday at the Venture Cinema on Venture Drive near Gwinnett Place Mall.
Parker has diabetes and a medical condition that mimics Alzheimer’s disease, including confusion and forgetfulness, police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.
Parker’s sister and caregiver, Katrina Parker, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Sunday that the woman had called her from a Salvation Army center late that afternoon.
