A man found dead inside a Canton home after a fire Wednesday night could not be identified in an autopsy done at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab, Canton police Officer Pacer Cordry said Thursday.
Firefighters and police were called to a Legend Creek Drive home around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Cordry said. After the fire had been extinguished, a body was found inside the home.
Police and fire investigators continue to investigate to determine the cause of the fire and the manner of the man’s death, Cordry said.
