The U.S. Supreme Court's decision to strike down a Texas abortion law will have ripple effects across the nation in the coming months and years. Even though Georgia doesn't have the same restrictions as the Lone Star State did, abortion has been a hot button issue here. Georgia has 14 clinics that perform abortions, all of them in urban centers including metro Atlanta, Savannah, Columbus and Augusta. That does not include the unknown number of private physicians that provide terminations.

Metro Atlanta has the greatest number of abortions each year, but how many per county? According to numbers from the Georgia Department of Health, for the year 2014, women in DeKalb County had 3,719 abortions. That translates into 15.2 abortions for every 1,000 women.

What about other counties around the state? Click here to get the number of pregnancies terminated in 2014 in each Georgia county.
