A four-hour standoff at a Clayton County apartment complex ended early Saturday with the arrest of an armed man who police said held seven people hostage.
When police arrived at the Willow Way Apartments on Riverdale Road around 5:15 a.m., they said Chacoland Lamon Dye, 35, of College Park refused to come out and threatened to shoot anyone who came inside the residence.
Lt. Chris Windley said Dye eventually surrendered and was charged with seven counts of false imprisonment, five counts of cruelty to children and one count of family violence battery. Dye said police had already responded twice to the apartment on domestic disturbance calls earlier the day.
Police also arrested two people on obstruction charges: Dante Wallace, 34, of Stone Mountain and Richard Antwain Johnson, 35, of Flint, Mich.
