All administrative offices for Henry County government are scheduled to be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. That includes the animal shelter and the recycling center, according to county officials. While outdoor county parks will be accessible, no other Parks and Recreation Department facilities will be open.
There is no day camp for children at any HCPRD facilities during the upcoming Christmas break. All four county senior centers will be closed the same four days, and the Heritage Senior Center in McDonough is closed from Dec. 20 until Jan. 6 due to maintenance.
Online payments for any bills due at the Tax Commissioner’s office can be made on days that the office is closed, and the self-service kiosks at Kroger locations in Ellenwood and McDonough are always available when those stores are open.
