Henry County’s intergovernmental agreement with Stockbridge to provide the city’s police services has gotten a last-minute extension.

The Board of Commissioners voted March 3 to lengthen the current agreement until 11:59 p.m. April 7. Stockbridge has been paying $500,000 per year to the county for police services although that figure could change as negotiations continue. The motion was approved unanimously.
