Henry County vehicle purchases approved

Henry County’s building and plan review department was authorized recently by the Board of Commissioners to purchase 12 new vehicles to replace an outdated fleet.

Commissioners also approved amending a section regarding timber in the Henry County Unified Land Development Code at the Oct. 18 commission meeting. The move was necessary, according to county officials, because an increase in commercial and residential land development requires replacement of the current outdated fleet.

With its own revenue, the department will purchase 12 2017 F150 regular cab trucks for $267,630 from Allan Vigil Ford.
