Henry County Transit Director Taleim “Tye” Salters has been elected to serve on the Georgia Transit Association’s board of directors for a two-year term that began Dec. 7, 2018.

Salters was elected by his peers during the GTA’s annual conference in Jekyll Island in early December. He joins other transit and transportation professionals in helping to find solutions to transportation challenges throughout the state, as well as to develop initiatives to enhance services to citizens.

Salters joined Henry County government in 2014, and as transit director he manages a staff of 31 and a fleet of 26 transit vehicles, in a department that provides daily, on-demand transit service throughout the county.
