Henry County student stars in Weather Channel videos

April 27, 2020A Henry County elementary student is getting some serious exposure on national media while helping her peers stay busy and continue learning while at home due to COVID-19. Claire Robinson, a first-grader at Timber Ridge Elementary School in McDonough, is the Weather Channel’s Kid Scientist. She is hosting a series of how-to videos for the Weather Channel for students to conduct at-home science experiments during remote learning. The titles include “How to Make Magic Snow,” “How to Make S’mores in a Solar Oven” and “How to Make Rain in a Jar,” among others. All of them can be viewed on the Weather Channel’s website.
