The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Dec. 4 regular meeting on two separate vehicle purchases for various county departments totaling $486,343. The board approved the purchase of nine 2018 Ford Pursuit Utility Explorers and two 2018 Ford Escapes to meet operational needs for fleet replacement for police, senior services and tax assessors personnel.

The recommended purchase was from Allan Vigil Ford of Morrow for $281,633 and the funds are in the fleet services budget. Also purchased were ten 2018 Dodge Chargers for the police department for $204,710 from Landers McLarty of Huntsville, Ala. Both votes were unanimous.
