Henry County officials announced March 13 that all county facilities will be closed the week of March 16-20, and the Board of Commissioners meeting scheduled for March 17 has been cancelled.
A number of regular county services are being altered as well. The recycling center is closed, and all parks and recreation facilities and programs are temporarily cancelled. Henry County Transit will only be providing critical medical transport for dialysis patients. Citizens and businesses can still use a variety of online portals on the county website for permit applications in some departments and just about anything a taxpayer might need in the Tax Collector’s office. The courts in Henry County have been closed through March 30, and all court dates during this period have bene rescheduled. The Elections Office and polling locations will remain open.
