The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Oct. 1 regular meeting to approve its 2019 Transportation Improvement Program list, seeking federal funding for engineering, construction or resurfacing of about a dozen major road projects.

Each project was voted on individually, and all were approved unanimously except for a request related to the proposed I-75 interchange at or near Bethlehem Road between McDonough and Locust Grove, which failed due to a 3-3 vote. That project was the reason the entire list was not approved in a September meeting when all projects were voted on together.

Any funding received would require a 20 percent county match.
