The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously at its Jan. 22 regular meeting to approve a rezoning request for 86.5 acres on Crumbley Road for a 100-lot single-family residential subdivision.

The zoning change is from RA (residential-agricultural) to R-2 Sewer. The request was approved with eight conditions as recommended by the county’s Zoning Advisory Board, and the proposal is in line with the county’s Future Land Use Map.

The plan includes at least 20 acres of open space and a 25-foot buffer around the entire property. Entrances are proposed on Selfridge and Crumbley roads.
