The Henry County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a millage rate that will require 13.5 percent property tax increase in the unincorporated county as well as hikes of various levels in the county’s four cities.
Two public hearings have been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. July 20 at the county administration building, 140 Henry Parkway in McDonough, to give citizens the opportunity to speak to the board about this issue. The millage rate will be set 9:30 a.m. July 27.
