Henry E-911 director assists overseas emergency center

Don Ash, Henry County’s E-911 and emergency management director, spent a few days in the former Soviet republic of Georgia in mid-December at that country’s request to help assess recent improvement in its national center, known as a 1-1-2 center, in the capital city of Tbilisi. Delegates from that country have visited Henry County in the past to see how its department operates, and the county has hosted about 10 groups over the past few years from countries such as Uganda, South Korea and China.
