The Hapeville City Council will have a public hearing 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hapeville City Hall, 700 Doug Davis Drive. The hearing is for the first reading of the city’s proposed alcohol ordinance which includes provisions for microbreweries and craft distillers. The second reading is scheduled for Feb. 21.

Filling appointments to city boards is another council agenda item. The Ethics Committee and Hapeville Board of Appeals both have one vacancy to be filled.

The council will also discuss an amendment of the city’s ordinance regarding surfacing and maintenance of driveways. The decision to create the law was made over one year ago and several updates are necessary for the clarity of the ordinance. This is the second and final reading of the amended ordinance.
