Hapeville will hold an LCI/Comprehensive Plan Design Workshop 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at the municipal annex, 700 Doug Davis Dr. The workshop gives citizens and other stakeholders a chance to provide input into the planning process.

Livable Centers Initiative is a program of the Atlanta Regional Commission that awards planning grants competitively to local governments and nonprofit organizations to help improve existing centers.

The Hapeville LCI major plan update will build from previous LCI plans and studies, including the Hapeville Main Street Town Center LCI Study of 2005, whose goals included encouraging diverse mixed income neighborhoods at the town center, provideing access to various modes of transportation, preserving the center’s historic characteristics and provide planning funding for the center’s development.

Hapeville recently held an LCI/Comprehensive Plan Planning Crawl, a mobile meeting of people visiting different businesses in the city.
