The Library Journal has named Gwinnett County’s Hamilton Mill branch in Dacula a model for future libraries nationwide.

The journal’s New Landmark Libraries project honors groundbreaking library buildings. The Hamilton Mill branch, which opened last year, is one of 10 libraries nationwide to receive the honor.

It’s the latest in a series of awards for the Hamilton Mill branch, which was designed to be environmentally sustainable. It also has been honored by the Green Building Certification Institute and the Georgia chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.
