Remember books?
Stacks of paper bound in cardboard? Collecting dust on those old shelves? Adding to that musty scent in your attic? Yes, books!
A slew of them are headed to Decatur, with the opening of Half Price Books on Thursday near DeKalb Medical.
The location, which occupies nearly 7,000 square feet at 2615 North Decater Road, will celebrate its official opening with free tote bags and $5 gift cards for the first 100 people at the store this weekend, according to a news release. One shopper each day is set to win a $100 gift card.

Billed as the nation's largest new and used bookstore chain, Half Price Books already has one location in metro Atlanta, after the Marietta shop, which opened in May.
"We’ve loved being in the Atlanta area so far and are excited to open our second location in Decatur," said Kathy Doyle Thomas, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Half Price Books. "Decatur is a wonderful community and we’re excited to introduce our stores to book lovers in the neighborhood."
