Three metro Atlanta stores are among the seven Gymboree locations that will close in Georgia as a part of the company's restructuring, it announced Wednesday.

The children’s retailer will shut down locations in Kennesaw, Duluth and Atlanta. Stores in Athens, Columbus, Peachtree City and Savannah will also close.

Gymboree filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in June and said it could close up to 450 stores. The list of closing locations released Wednesday consisted of 350 locations across the U.S.

The Georgia stores that will close are:

  • Town Center at Cobb, 400 Ernest W. Barrett Pkwy. No. 167, Kennesaw
  • Gwinnett Place Mall, 2100 Pleasant Hill Road No. 226, Duluth
  • Georgia Square Mall, 3700 Atlanta Highway No. 90, Athens
  • Cumberland Mall, 1331 Cumberland Mall, No. 220, Atlanta
  • Peachtree Mall, 3507 Manchester Expressway No. 19, Columbus
  • The Avenue Peachtree City, 253 City Circle, Peachtree City
  • Oglethorpe Mall, 7804 Abercorn St. No. 26,  Savannah

Nine other Gymboree stores in metro Atlanta, including locations at Perimeter Mall, Avalon and Lenox Square, will remain open.

It is not yet clear when the closing stores will sell their last pair of overalls and shut their doors for good.
