Gwinnett Commissioners voted recently to execute intergovernmental agreements with Berkeley Lake to jointly use 2017 SPLOST funds for a sidewalk improvement project and repaving project.
One project will add sidewalks on North Berkeley Lake Road from Ridge Road to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. Gwinnett will manage this project. Berkeley Lake will reimburse the county $14,250, or 19 percent of the total project costs. Gwinnett will contribute $60,750.
The second project will resurface Lakeshore Drive. Berkeley Lake will manage this project. Gwinnett will reimburse the city for 81 percent of total project cost up to a maximum county contribution of $336,388.
