Gwinnett residents have until Oct. 9 to register to vote in the Nov. 6 General Election or to file a change of name or address with the County Voter Registrations and Elections Office.

Voters can register online at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov, if they have a Georgia issued identification card or driver’s license. Mobile users can download the GA Votes app on their smartphone or tablet to register or make updates to their information. Voters can also register in person at multiple locations.

Voters should verify they are still on the voter rolls at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov. If already registered to vote but never received any notifications, or if there is no voter registration status information, contact 678-226-7210.

By law, voters can be purged from the list of registered voters if they haven’t cast a ballot or had written contact with the Elections Office through two federal elections, so if voters can’t remember the last time they voted, they should check their registration status before Election Day.
