The victim had cashed a check for $1,500 at a Sugar Hill bank before stopping at a convenience store on Old Suwanee Road. While he was in the store, the cash was stolen from his car, police said.

Surveillance video showed a man taking the cash out of the unlocked car. The man had short dark hair and a beard, and was wearing sunglasses. A woman exited the same SUV the man arrived in; police believe it may be a black Kia Sportage. The woman had black hair, worn in a bun, and was wearing black clothes and a brown purse.
