Gwinnett park installing synthetic turf in $2.3M field upgrade

The multi-sport athletic field at Mountain Park Park will get an upgrade this winter, Gwinnett County announced.

The field, home to football, soccer and lacrosse games, will be rebuilt using $2.3 million in SPLOST funds.

Gwinnett adding fall break in 2018-2019 school year

The field, press box, baseball backstop and dugouts will be demolished. Synthetic turf will be installed, along with a new press box, lighting, fencing and goals.

Drainage improvements, paving and retaining wall construction will also be included in the project, expected to be completed in July.
