Gwinnett County finance director Aaron Bovos has been named to one of two vacant deputy county administrator positions. The move fills one of two deputy positions that have been vacant since the end of 2009. The Board of Commissioners ratified the employment agreements Tuesday.

County Administrator Glenn Stephens said Bovos will retain his CFO title and will oversee support services, information technology, human resources and finance.

Maria Woods will replace Bovos as finance director.

Bovos has been in his current position since April 2009 and served as budget director in 2007. Woods has been with Gwinnett County since 1997 and has more than two dozen years’ experience in local government.
