In addition to the issue in the ice machine, an inspector found spoons used for coffee beverages stored in sanitizer solution, according to the inspection report. There were no paper towels in the men’s restroom and the previous inspection was not visible at the drive-through window, the report said.
Employees were seen wearing jewelry, which is not permitted, and two had not signed employee health agreements verifying they know to properly report health issues, according to the inspection report.
Many of the violations were corrected during the inspection. The ice machine was emptied and the spoons were taken out of the sanitizer water, the report said.
“At Dunkin’ Brands, food safety is a top priority and nothing is more important to us than all of our franchisees operating clean and safe restaurants ... ” said Justin Drake, a senior manager for public relations with the company, in an emailed statement. “We take matters such as these very seriously. Upon learning of this report, we contacted the franchisee, who owns and operates this location, immediately to confirm all food safety and quality standards are being followed.”
A follow-up inspection will be done by June 30.
