Police have identified the man and woman who were killed in a murder suicide in Gwinnett County on Saturday night.

The victims were Rubii Cross, 34, and her husband, Leo Cross, 43, Gwinnett County police said Monday. The couple was married and lived in the 2800 block of Mossy Creek Drive in the Stone Mountain section of unincorporated Gwinnett County. Police found both of their bodies Saturday after responding to a domestic dispute at that location.

Police now believe Leo Cross shot his wife before shooting himself, just as officers arrived at the house on Saturday, police said. Police obtained a search warrant after “there was concern for the safety of the female,” according to a Gwinnett County police department statement.

The case is being treated as a murder suicide at this time, and no other suspects are currently being considered, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on Sunday.

No children were present at the home at the time of the incident. The couple’s next-of-kin have been notified.
