Gwinnett commissioners on May 29 approved zoning changes for a senior retirement community with a building height to four stories or 55 feet on 5.25 acres in the 3400-3500 blocks of Breckinridge Boulevard and 1700 block of Centerview Drive in Duluth.
The community will be limited for occupancy by persons 62 and older with a maximum of 120 units. Buildings will be at least 50 percent brick or stacked with final building elevations subject to the review and approval of the Director of Planning and Development.
Each unit will incorporate accessibility standards known as ‘Easy Living Standards’ to include an easy access step free feature at each entrance and 32-inch wide doorways for wheelchair access.
