You will now be able to drink at the Bowl at Sugar Hill and at outdoor events on the town lawn.

Sugar Hill City Council voted unanimously to allow the sale, possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages at city-sanctioned concerts Monday night. This vote comes on the heels of the city's 2017 concert series lineup announcement. Collective Soul, Josh Turner, Ben Folds and other artists will play the Bowl at Sugar Hill through the summer.

Ticket-holders to the Bowl and town plaza events will be able to bring alcoholic beverages in non-glass containers into the seating area. They’ll also be able to buy alcohol on-site from vendors.

The city council will discuss a broader “Special Downtown Entertainment District” amendment in April or May, city spokesperson Varessa Butts said.
