The Gwinnett Board of Commissioners recently awarded a construction contract to Peach State Construction Company for a new roundabout on Constitution Boulevard at Nash Street in Lawrenceville. In addition to the roundabout, the project also includes installation of lighting and sidewalks.

The $1.167 million contract is funded using Gwinnett’s 2017 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program.

“With new courtrooms under construction at Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, this intersection improvement will help traffic flow for both visitors and County employees,” said District 4 Commissioner Marlene Fosque. “Once again, voter approval of SPLOST makes projects like this one possible.”

The roundabout is expected to be completed by the fall of 2020.
