The fourth time was the charm for a Gwinnett County woman. But the first, second and third lottery wins weren't bad, either.

Judy Slone, 62, just won $400,000 by playing the instant game 20X The Money, the Georgia Lottery said Wednesday. It's the fourth lottery win since 2004 for the great-grandmother of four.

But those wins didn't come for free, Slone told the AJC.

"I play a lot," said Slone, who prefers the scratch-off tickets. She bought her recent winning ticket at a Texaco in Duluth.

In 2004, Slone won $27,777 playing the lottery. She used it to buy new furniture. The following year, she won $1 million, which she used for eye surgery and a new car. Then in 2009, she vacationed in Puerto Rico after winning $100,000.

This time, Slone said she plans to save her winnings for retirement. But she's not ready to quit working installing electrical wiring any time soon.

"I've got to be at least 66," Slone said.
