A Cracker Barrel in Cobb County failed its recent health inspection after officials found a greasy kitchen, a grimy soda nozzle and food at unsafe temperatures.
An inspector came to the restaurant, 2150 Delk Road in Marietta, on Oct. 31 and graded the eatery a 64/U.
A restaurant employee declined Thursday morning to say if staff had addressed issues found by the inspector or if a follow-up inspection had taken place. He referred all comment to the corporate office, which didn't immediately respond.
The health official found food stored at improper temperatures and a "buildup of grime on soda-dispensing nozzles," which was cleaned right away, according to the report.
There was also a microwave "in severe disrepair" found in the kitchen, along with grease and food debris throughout.
The inspector found mold on the ceiling vent above where cooks prepare food, the report said.
Health records dating back to June 2015 show the restaurant hasn't failed an inspection. In that time, it has scored both a 100 and a 74.
Follow-up inspections are generally completed within 10 days of the original evaluation.
