The DeKalb History Center’s January Lunch and Learn will be presented by Howard Mosby, vice president of Grady Health System, according to a press release.
We all know someone who has been treated at Grady or who was born at Grady. Nearly 90 percent of all Grady patients are Fulton and DeKalb county residents. Grady has been a critical part of the fabric of Atlanta and particularly DeKalb County, for more than 125 years. Regardless of resource or privilege, Grady has treated everyone who crosses their threshold with exceptional care.
As one of the largest safety net health systems in the United States, Grady is accomplishing things never before achieved by a public hospital, according to the release. When Grady comes to mind, one may think of its Level 1 trauma designation or perhaps the burn center- two services that are specialties in the state. But over the past 125 years, Grady has grown into much, much more. Join speaker Howard Mosby to learn more about how Grady has played a key role in the health care history of DeKalb.
The event takes place noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Historic DeKalb Courthouse, 101 E. Court Square, Decatur, second floor. The lecture is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.
