A hip hop-flavored college graduation party at a Kennesaw country bar attracted nearly 1,000 revelers Monday night -- many of whom refused to leave.

Promoters of the "Memorial Day Pajama Jam" had rented out Cowboy's for the night but ended the bash early after a number of fights broke out inside the popular music venue. The party, still 800 people strong, moved to the parking lot on North Roberts Road before police were called to disperse the crowd.

"[The crowd] outnumbered the police and simply refused to leave," said Kennesaw Police spokesman Scott Luther.

Time for the pepper spray.

"That sent everyone scattering," Luther said. No arrests were made.
