There's still time to voice your opinion to the city of Smyrna before it revamps Spring Road ahead of SunTrust Park.

The Livable Centers Initiative, a program from the Atlanta Regional Commission, will close its survey Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. on the new Atlanta Braves stadium and its accompanying property The Battery.

The survey asks what type of businesses, entertainment options and housing the area needs.

It also asks how much you agree or not with a vital part of the project's success — "We should create ways to get people from Smyrna Market Village to SunTrust Park/The Battery Atlanta area via the Spring Road Corridor." — from strongly disagree to strongly agree.

The city council voted this time last year to spend $4.5 million on widening Spring Road to prepare for the influx of people heading to and from the new stadium.

Baldwin Paving Co., which has two facilities in Marietta, won the bid.

Soon after, the council voted to condemn 12 properties to clear the way for the project.

The plan is to widen the existing five lanes of Spring Road to three lanes in each direction with a 20-inch raised median between Cobb Parkway and Bell Drive.

The Spring Road multi-use path will extend from the Spring Road intersection with Cumberland Boulevard on the east side of Cobb Parkway where it will tie into multi-use trails on the east side of the road. As part of the project, crews would extend the right turn lane on Cumberland Boulevard from Spring Road about 1,000 feet north of Spring Road.
