Clayton County Water Authority is looking for volunteers to help with the county’s annual Rivers Alive Stream Cleanup.

CCWA’s Stormwater Management section hosts the yearly event which brings together Clayton residents to clean trash, litter and other debris from local rivers and creeks.

Volunteers should wear outdoor clothing and waterproof boots. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. After the initial safety briefing, volunteers will spend about an hour cleaning up around Hurricane Creek.

When: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24

IT/technology experts needed

National Center for the Prevention of Home Improvement Fraud is looking for volunteers who are experts at Wordpress to help with website and ACCESS software to create a basic database. The organization, National Center for the Prevention of Home Improvement Fraud, helps seniors, disaster victims, the physically impaired, those who speak English as a second language, low wealth communities and women.
