Help four-legged residents

Furkids offers many opportunities. Atlanta’s largest no-kill animal shelter, Furkids is one of the only shelters in Georgia that welcomes children of all ages to volunteer at its locations in Doraville, Norcross, Alpharetta and throughout Atlanta.

Kids of all ages and their families can provide temporary homes for dogs and cats. If that’s not an option, consider fund-raising efforts, such as dog washes or lemonade stands, to raise money for the shelter. Other hands-on opportunities are available.

Volunteer at Truly Living Well

TLW offers a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to learn about farming, connecting with the land, and helping TLW grow. Volunteer opportunities are a way for groups and corporate entities to build skills in teamwork, process thinking, cooperation, and bonding through shared experiences.

You can volunteer as an individual, family unit or as a large group. TLW will work to pair you with a staff member to find activities that will be engaging, and educational. Farm work is not easy, but at the end of the day it delivers a feeling of satisfaction that can’t be beat.
