Keep Marietta green by planting trees
Marietta Tree Keepers invites volunteers of all ages to help plant trees. Tools and refreshments will be provided. You’re encouraged to dress for outdoor weather.
Members of the Marietta Tree Keepers have been promoting the value of trees to the community since it was founded in 2002. MTK has over 100 members and has planted over 5,500 trees around the city. The 501(c)3 non-profit organization works closely with the city of Marietta to plant trees along public right-of-ways, parks and schools.

Furkids offers many opportunities. Atlanta’s largest no-kill animal shelter, Furkids is one of the only shelters in Georgia that welcomes children of all ages to volunteer at its locations in Doraville, Norcross, Alpharetta and throughout Atlanta.
Kids of all ages and their families can provide temporary homes for dogs and cats. If that’s not an option, consider fund-raising efforts, such as dog washes or lemonade stands, to raise money for the shelter. Other hands-on opportunities are available.
