Georgia Gwinnett College will test its emergency notification systems at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The sirens and alerts, conducted in conjunction with the national observation of Severe Weather Awareness Week, will also be heard in locations adjacent to the campus. The sirens and alerts will coincide with the National Weather Service’s statewide tornado drill conducted 9-9:30 a.m.

GGC’s two outdoor sirens are located on top of Building C and the Grizzly Athletics Complex. They are designed to alert those outdoors to seek immediate shelter. Severe Weather Awareness Week information: www.ready.ga.gov.

If weather is questionable Wednesday, the test will be postponed until Friday to avoid any confusion with an actual alert.
