Is your furry friend due for some shots? The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and Gwinnett County Animal Welfare have you covered.

The agencies are offering low cost shots and microchips for dogs and cats at the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter on Sunday, Jan. 19. All proceeds will benefit the Society of Humane Friends Spay/Neuter Clinic and the Jail Dog and Cat program run by the sheriff’s office.

Dog vaccines including those for bordatella, lepto, rabies and DHPP (distemper) and cat vaccines including those for bordatella, rabies and FVRCCP (rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia) are $10 each. Vaccines for two types of canine influenza will cost $20.

Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers when they are taken to the event. The event is cash only.

The event is open to all dog and cat owners from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The shelter is located at 844 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville.
