“We frequently see people turning in their animals to our shelters, because they can't afford veterinary care,” LifeLine said in a statement. The goal of the event is “to keep pets out of the shelters and with the people who love them by making pet care more accessible to all.”

The last time LifeLine held a Healthy Pets event, more than 870 dogs and cats received free veterinary care.

No registration is needed, but it is first-come, first-served.
