The Lawrenceville City Council will consider a request by Georgia Gwinnett College to rename nearby school streets at the city’s council meeting 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at City Hall, 70 South Clayton St.
The college seeks to rename the city-maintained Collins Industrial Way to Grizzly Crossing. Property owners along this stretch of road will be invited to participate in the discussion at the city council meeting.
Additional streets owned by Gwinnett County and/or the state would be renamed Scholarship Place, Creativity Hill, Service Walk, Leadership Lane and Four Pillar Circle after the college’s Four Pillars of leadership, scholarship, creativity and service.
