The Georgia board that administers the bar exam to prospective lawyers erroneously told 90 test takers that they failed, according to a media report.
The incident concerns people who took the test in July 2015 and February 2016, The Wall Street Journal reported.
In 2016, a different methodology was used for the score calculation, which yielded a different result, according to the report. The Board of Bar Examiners decided to return to the previous methodology. This resulted in passing scores for some people who had been told that they did not pass.
"As members of the Board of Bar Examiners, we take full responsibility for the integrity of the Bar Examination and are working to restore trust in the scoring process," John Sammon, the state bar board chairman, said in a statement.
