The Georgia Department of Transportation will close two lanes on I-85 north and south bound in Gwinnett for a sign replacement project 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays beginning Oct. 1 through the end of November. The two far right lanes will be closed to allow crews to remove and install new interstate signage.

Crews will need to close one side of I-85 at a time north and south bound between Jimmy Carter and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

Drivers are encouraged to watch for workers that will be in close proximity to the travel lanes. This work is being done overnight, and reflective vests and hats will be worn by GDOT workers to ensure safety. Drivers should slow down when entering the work zone.
