The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced a series of flagging operations on local streets and more lane closures affecting I-285 and Ga. 400 as it gears up for the reconstruction of their interchange in the top-end Perimeter area of North Fulton and DeKalb counties.

Flaggers will be out between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Feb. 19-22, for alternate closures of one right and one left lane of Lake Forrest Drive from Allen Road to Northwood Drive, and of Long Island Drive under I-285.

Also, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Feb. 19-22, closures are scheduled for one right lane of northbound Peachtree Dunwoody Road from Lake Hearn Drive to I-285; the right turn lane and center lane of the off-ramp from westbound I-285 to Peachtree-Dunwoody; one right lane and the right shoulder of northbound Glenridge Drive under I-285; and the median lane of southbound Glenridge at the I-285 eastbound off-ramp to Glenridge.

From 6 a.m. to 8 pm., Feb. 20-21, the right flexible shoulder “flex” lane of northbound Ga. 400 will be closed from the MARTA North Springs station to just north of Spalding Drive; while from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Feb 21-23, one left lane of northbound and southbound Ga. 400 will be closed between Hammond Drive and Abernathy Road.
